Boyfriend talks about breaking up with Taylor Swift

After a long period of silence after being accused by Taylor Swift in the album “The Tortured Poets Department”, Joe Alwyn finally spoke up about his breakup with the pop superstar, and clarified some misunderstandings.

When asked if he had heard The Tortured Poets Department, star Billy Lynn did not go straight to the point, instead sharing: “When thinking about what I was going to say, I considered and hoped that everyone could sympathize. This is not a direct answer to your (reporter) question, but just thinking about what I wanted to say. I hope everyone can sympathize and understand the difficulties that come with ending a long-term, loving and completely serious relationship of more than 6 and a half years.”

He admitted that ending his relationship with Taylor was difficult to navigate, because it was not like a normal breakup, but could explode into a hot topic in the public domain and be scrutinized by the world. According to Joe, the truth was dissected and distorted beyond recognition by the press and social media.

“In the end, there is always a gap between what is known and what is said. I have come to terms with that,” he said.

The young actor’s solution is to try to live in reality and stay away from the gossipy social media. He also ignores online comments about his personal life, including the Taylor Swift controversy.

“I try to keep the volume down. I think it’s a shame to mistreat anyone, whether it’s in person or anonymously on the keyboard,” he criticized anti-fans.

Joe refused to say whether he was still in touch with his ex, and said there was no reason to explain why the two split.

“As everyone knows, we mutually decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private. It was never something that could be commercialized and I see no reason to change that now. Look, it’s been over a year now and I feel lucky to be in a really great place in my life, both professionally and personally. I feel really good,” he said.

The Kinds of Kindness actor denied going to The Black Dog pub in Vauxhall Walk, London, England, as Taylor mentioned on her 11th studio album.

According to Page Six, the album includes a song called The Black Dog. The lyrics tell the story of the singer seeing her ex walk into The Black Dog bar and what he did there was like “poking new holes in her heart”. The owner, Lily Bottomley, also hinted that the 1991-born actor had dined there.

Earlier, in February, a private source told Daily Mail that Joe had no intention of speaking out about his past relationship with Taylor, citing respect for the singer.

According to insiders, Joe hopes that Taylor’s new album is not aimed at him, but is just reflecting on the time they spent together. In the event that Taylor actually attacks him, Joe is said to be shocked because he has never mentioned it.

“No matter what she does, he won’t respond because he has taken himself out of her story and is happy to have done so,” the source emphasized.

According to Page Six in April 2023, Taylor and Joe broke up peacefully, without any drama or noise.
