Zendaya Stealing the Show in Euphoria Part 2 Trailer

The new teaser trailer confirms the second season of HBO’s critically acclaimed teen drama series, Happiness, will begin on January 9.

The new trailer, available to watch in its entirety above, teases a lot of new chaos and drama, and perhaps even some violent scenes already for the new season. Rue Bennett (Zendaya)’s emotional state seems more unstable than ever as she continues to struggle again and again with addiction and depression.

The first season of the series aired in 2019 and received critical acclaim for Labrinth’s mesmerizing performance, soundtrack, and cinematography, despite some controversy over what it was. Some critics argue that excessive use of sex and nudity for a show focused on high school students. It focuses heavily on the budding romance between two traumatized and emotionally broken teenagers, Hunter Schafer’s Rue and Jules.

Similar to countless other movies and series, the second season of Happiness facing delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and two special episodes, each focusing on Rue or Jules, aired this past December and January to fill the gap between seasons and retain long time fans waiting for part 2.

In addition to Schafer and Zendaya, the series also stars Maude Apatow, Sydney Sweeney, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane and Alexa Demie among others. The new season will begin on HBO Max starting January 9.
