That’s proper down the center.
The Yankees broadcast couldn’t consider the decision and understandably so — it was as away from a strike as you’ll see in a big-league sport. Joe Smith was already strolling off the mound as a result of he knew it was a strike. Everybody apart from Bacon knew it.
And like I stated earlier, calling balls and strikes is tough work. However Bacon — who was solely working his third MLB sport behind the plate — actually let a simple one go there. It was 77 mph and crossed the center of the plate.
