From new backwards compatible games to the surprise launch of multiplayer for Halo Infinite, there are plenty of reasons for Xbox fans to get excited. In addition to these impressive announcements, the company revealed that it plans to improve its social features in the coming months.

Recently, Jason Ronald, director of project management at Xbox, mentioned the video recording and sharing feature for Xbox Series X / WILL. According to the developer, they still have many ways to go until the Xbox team is satisfied.

Fortunately, changes appear to be coming in the not-too-distant future. Although admittedly the attractive options available for record video and shareRonald noted that his team is committed to improving the features in the coming months. Additionally, he also mentioned that feedback from the Xbox community is the driving force behind upcoming changes to the feature set. “That is definitely our priority,” he said, referring to making more changes to capture and share functionality.

Ronald recognizes the importance of feedback from gamers in improving video capture and sharing. According to the developer, one of the best ways players can hear their voices is to join the Xbox Insider program. As part of the program, gamers can check out features that are being tested by the Xbox development team. Ronald emphasized that feedback from the community through Xbox Insider program help developers better understand whether their work is on the right track.

Besides talking about his plans to improve video recording and sharing features, Ronald discussed a potential timeline for when these positive changes could be implemented. While he revealed that some improvements to the video recording feature have been made this year, he said that there will be more significant changes in the future. Unfortunately, Ronald admits that some of the challenges to making the system overall better take some time to overcome. While he hopes to make more significant improvements to the features this year, he said these areas are the main focus in 2022.

It will be interesting to see these changes happen to Xbox fans in the coming months, as they want to give them more opportunities to show off their in-game experiences to the Xbox community. While time will tell what these improvements will look like when implemented, it’s great to see developers listening to community feedback.
