Things are almost starting to look bad for the higher ups at Activision Blizzard because, according to the most recent reports on Bobby Kotick, the people they do business with are starting to rethink their relationships with that work. Yesterday, PlayStation director Jim Ryan stated that he has reached out to Activision to ask how they plan to deal with the situation. and note that they do not believe they have done so so far. It was reported today that Xbox’s Phil Spencer has informed employees that he is “evaluating” the company’s relationship with Activision Blizzard and will be making “proactive adjustments.” This notice was sent in an employee email then came to Bloomberg.

Spencer was the first to indicate that they would take any form of action regarding their relationship with Activision Blizzard if the company fails to properly resolve the situation. It seems the World of Warcraft publisher is taking things too seriously, though, as they simply noted that they “respect all feedback” from their partners and are “interacting with each other.” with them more.” They also laid out the changes they’ve made so far – most of which don’t fully address employee concerns before news of Kotick hit.

In fact, in a report on IGNJennifer Oneal, the co-leader who recently announced her departure from the company, was denied equal pay to other co-leader Mike Ybarra and was offered only after she resigned. The report goes on to say that both she and Ybarra claim Blizzard together to be paid the same. However, there are differences in their statements as to why that is not the case.

According to Ybarra, they were tied to contracts for their roles prior to taking the co-leader position, and he earned more than she did. He also added that when their contracts expire, they will be offered new ones with the same salary. For its part, Oneal noted that the company has denied their request for a salary adjustment multiple times. They have told her they are working on a new proposal, one she says was made only after she resigned.
