Xbox Game Pass just received several new titles, including the open-world, post-apocalyptic survival shooter Generation Zero from Systemic Reaction.
Xbox Game Pass received some big honors to end 2021. There have been some blockbuster titles like Forza Horizon 5, but those games also come with much smaller games Xbox Game Pass Subscribers may not have heard of before their addition. Adding underrated or obscure games to Game Pass is what makes the subscription service special. Not only is it a great value for gamers, but it’s also a great way for Xbox players to discover and try out games they’ve often never heard of or want to spend extra money on.
One of the recent additions that many subscribers may not know much about is Generation No. 0. Developed and published by Systemic Reaction, Generation No. 0 is an open-world first-person shooter set in an alternate reality version of Sweden. The game takes place in 1989, but It’s also post-apocalyptic, when the country has become overrun with robots capable of killing people effectively. The player controls a teenager who is returning to their hometown only to discover that everyone has disappeared. From there, the player must discover what has become of them, as well as defeat the killer robots that have taken hold.
What to expect from Generation Zero on Game Pass

One of the best parts of Generation No. 0 is that it is completely playable in max four player co-op – with cross-games available for those on Xbox and PC. Players can jump in and out of each other’s game at any time to tackle some of its bigger challenges together, before splitting the spoils and returning to their own game. If players want to, they can even play the entire game together, with each player being able to customize their strengths to complement each other.
The system is great for allowing friends to play together no matter how much time they’ve spent alone, while ensuring that everyone gets their rewards and keeps making progress. There are many types co-op titles made available on Xbox Game Pass, but Generation No. 0 offers a unique experience through its gameplay and open world.
