Wytchwood is perfect for Stardew valley, crosswalk animal fans

Released tomorrow, December 9, Wytchwood is an indie fantasy crafting game where the player plays the role of a witch. Relaxing game does not include combat but instead focuses on other game aspects such as crafting, storytelling and exploration that have grown in popularity in recent years and this is one that fans should follow. track.
Stardew Valley introduced this when it was released in 2016 and has since become one of the most popular indie titles on the market. And last year, Mule release its Switch version New horizons, which added a lot of crafting elements to a franchise that was already about gathering and selling resources. While Wytchwood not too long a story, it will attract gamers who like games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Stardew Valley for similar elements.
What is Wytchwood?
Wytchwood is a handcrafted adventure game set in a gothic fantasy world combined with beautiful story art. After losing her memories and talking to a talking goat, the witch needs to awaken the sleeping girl by collecting a bunch of souls from nearby creatures like snakes, bears, and leeches. Crafting is presented as a puzzle, which is also a quest in Wytchwood. After receiving the initial quests from the goat, the witch ventured to nearby areas such as swamps, forests, and fields to find the spirits.
One quest leads to the next, and it usually involves asking to craft or get an item from someone else who also needs some item to be crafted or returned to them. The world of Wytchwood filled with ingredients, from mushrooms, grass, and other plants lying around to items obtained by catching creatures, like pixie dust from fairies and slime from frogs. There are also many interactive objects, like clay mounds or fireplaces, that drop items needed for recipes when activated.
Like Mule, there isn’t any war in Wytchwood, but witches can still take damage from hostile creatures, although many creatures are generally friendly. Each enemy has an item, usually a craftable item, that they are weak against, such as a powder or a sleeping potion. When it is used on them, they can drop items used in other recipes, which are part of the puzzle and crafting process that players need to learn about in their journal. .
What makes Wytchwood similar to Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley?
In a long time, Mule mostly about resource gathering. In the early days, the only way to make bells was to collect fruit, catch bugs and fish, dig fossils, and sell them to Tom Nook to pay that nasty mortgage. And while Stardew Valley not much about foraging, craft means for the farm. And in general, those who like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Stardew Valley tend to notice quieter crafting games with meditative gameplay and Wytchwood could scratch that itch.
But Wytchwood is a bit more about the storytelling aspect than Stardew Valley or Mule, both feature open-ended gameplay and give players the freedom to dominate whatever they want, at their core. Players can still progress in various ways throughout Stardew Valley such as flirting and marriage, while Mule It’s really not as progressive as decoration, although crafting is still a major part of the game. WytchwoodOn the other hand, attaching crafting and puzzles to its quests means that this is the main premise of the game which culminates in a fun gothic fairy tale.
Wytchwood Released December 9, 2021 for PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.
