World of Warcraft players have a few days to visit a capital city and claim their Winter Festival gift before the year ends.
Christmas Day has arrived both in real life and in the game (well, technically the Winter Mask Festival in the game) for World of Warcraft players, which means it’s time for another year of winter traditions that have existed in MMOs for ages. Once again, Horde and Alliance players will be able to go to a capital city and claim a Feast of Winter Veil gifts.
Christmas is a pretty low day in World of Warcraft about special in-game activities, but it’s still a fun activity. Players can go to capital city affiliated with their faction on the map, find the giant tree and check below for a gift. As usual, the giveaways are heavily focused on collectibles and offer an interesting collectible that might not be available any other way.
This time, the special Winter Veil gift is actually a flashback to an early nineties Blizzard project from Super Nintendo Era – Rock n ‘Roll . Racing. There are a number of related items that players have a chance to open under a large tree this year, and fans of the retro game will likely be super excited when they see what’s under the tree.

Whether you’re naughty or cute this year, you’re bound to find a surprise waiting for you from the Great Winter! Just visit the Winter Veil tree in Orgrimmar or in Ironforge to get yours! You’ll have until January 1 to receive yours before the holiday magic wears off.

Once the Toy is unlocked, players will have the opportunity to customize their racer with model options such as Battle Trak, Dirt Devil, Havac, Marauder, and Air Blade. Each of the different models have a unique look to go along with their special abilities. Collections like these definitely attract a certain type of crowd OH, so expect these giveaways to be a very popular item to watch over the next few weeks. Interested players should definitely make sure they get to the tree as soon as possible, so they don’t miss the January 1 deadline.
