On Oct. 13, eight days after 1,400 Kellogg manufacturing plant workers went on strike, the union posted a photograph to its public Fb web page. The picture depicts a employee picketing throughout an evening shift amid a downpour. The caption, written by Jeff Jens, a packing troubleshooter at Kellogg and social media supervisor for The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Employees and Grain Millers Worldwide Union (BCTGM) Native 50G, reads: “Nighttime — torrential downpour — fireplace is drowned out — BUT Native 50G stands sturdy and our picket signal is greater now than ever earlier than!”
