While I generally recommend starting with “ROATE” because it has the most common letters, Wordle’s answer Jan. 7 doesn’t use any of these letters in fact. This resulted in zero hits, admittedly a bit horrifying to watch!

Next, it’s time to try and make sure the number of letters “S”, along with the remaining vowels, “U” and “I”. From today there is a letter “U.”

From there, there are some common consonants to try. My routines are “ROATE”, “SUITS”, “SHUCK”, “SPUNK”, “WELDS” and finally “SLUMP”.

For me, it took six guesses to finally land SLUMP, which means I found it very difficult. If you do not manage to solve it for yourself, do not worry, because there is always the word of tomorrow.
