Woolrich RTW Fall 2022 – WWD

In the first part of the new millennium, Woolrich’s signature parka was the winter uniform for the rich kids of Italy. But there is a much richer history that the outerwear specialist now wants to report.

For his fall collection, Woolrich imagined outdoor life – elsewhere at the time when going for a walk. en plein air seems to be the safest option? – and a reboot of heritage styles drawn from its 200-year-worth of archives.

Yellow hunter coats of the early 20th century were transformed into 24-ounce, lightweight and sustainably padded, plaid jackets and outerwear, while the plaid and Seamless parkas made to look better for city commuters. They are paired with everyday items – corduroy pants, flannel shirts and colorful beanies – for layered and uncomplicated outfits.

The brand cleverly updated the looks to reflect its core values while making them modern.
