Wooden Axolotl shaped Minecraft fan
A Minecraft player has shared an extremely detailed, accurate in-game axolotl character they recently created from solid wood blocks.
Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world, and part of its appeal comes from its complex and ever-evolving game world. The developers not only added some new biomes but also brought in some new mobs. One type of mob, the axolotl, has quickly become a fan favorite. Now, one Minecraft Fans have brought Axolotl to the real world as a wood sculpture.
In the real world, axolotls are a critically endangered type of tiger salamander found in the waters of Lake Xochimilco in the Valley of Mexico and in the canals and waterways of Mexico City. Minecraft axolotls spawn inside rivers of Lush Caves, where the player can tame them.
Reddit user Jappiedappie1234 shared a photo of a small wooden ax they made based on lovely Minecraft axolotl design. The sculpture is made up of thin pieces of wood that have been cut to resemble the game’s blocky pixelated graphics. According to the artist, they assume that each pixel in Minecraft the design would be one centimeter in real life, so the final sculpture is about 26cm long. It’s a very accurate axolotl reproduction game, complete with individual fins and four positioned legs for swimming.
Minecraft axolotls come in Five different color schemes: leucistic, blue, cyan, yellow and wild. However, the wood of this sculpture is not painted as Jappiedappie1234 is said to prefer the wood texture on their models. They have stated that they can build a second axolotl and paint that one, although it is unclear what color scheme they will choose. The sculpture also features a small face that appears to be drawn on wood with the appearance of a black pen or marker.

A second user joked that they wanted to break into the artist’s house and steal the sculpture. A fifth user announced that axolotl is the best mob ever. According to Jappiedappie1234, the sculpture is made from solid wood blocks coated with a bit of oil. It hasn’t been tested yet, but it certainly won’t be as waterproof as a desk.
