On Wednesday morning, the social justice warrior U.S. women’s soccer team was completely wiped out in a 0-3 loss to Sweden, breaking their 44-match winning streak.
In a disgusting acrobatic stunt, the women’s team fell to their knees, defying the American flag on the world stage. SURPRISE!
The Daily Wire reported: “The US entered the Tokyo Olympics as number one in the world. “Sweden is ranked fifth in the world and notably knocked out Team USA on penalties in the 2016 Olympics in the quarterfinals.”
The Associated Press reported on the loss:
Blackstenius’ header into the far corner after Sofia Jakobsson’s cross in the 26th minute gave Sweden the lead in the first half.
The United States played badly, the best opportunity of the opening half came in the last moments when Rose Lavelle’s shot hit the post. Coach Vlatko Andonovski made the substitutions in the second half, replacing Carli Lloyd for Alex Morgan and Julie Ertz for Sam Mewis.
But Blackstenius scored again in the 54th minute, beating goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher, as the Americans continued to struggle. Lina Hurtig then scored in the 72nd minute.
Before the match started, the women’s team knelt to wait for the time to “resist”.
Yahoo News notes:
The U.S. women’s national team and other soccer teams knelt ahead of their Olympic opening game on Wednesday, the first protests under mild restrictions on protest at the Games.
The protests were pre-planned, as they have been before various international football matches for over a year now as a collective statement against racism and other forms of discrimination against treat differently.
Sweden defender Amanda Ilestedt said: “For us, it really feels right to stand up for human rights. “It’s been a communication with the US team before, so for us it feels great to do that and that’s what we represent as a team.”
