Making some really raised eyebrows about the vaccine on Sunday, Virginia Governor-elect Winsome Sears declined to share about her. vaccination because she feels it’s a “slippery slope” that will eventually lead to the disclosure of her DNA information.
Sears, a rising star of the Republican Party who became both women and Virginia’s first woman of color to be elected lieutenant colonel governor this month, appeared on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday and immediately caused a stir with her comments about race and COVID-19.
Clash with anchor Dana Bash with or without Important racial theory is part of Virginia’s public school curriculum, for example, Sears told about one of the most infamous events in American history.
“But while we’re talking about history, we’re going to be talking about the fact that Blacks from the 1890s to about 1950-1960, according to the U.S. Census, were married at a percentage far beyond that. anything white people ever do,” she declared. “When we talk about the Tulsa Race Riots, let us ask ourselves how did the Negro accumulate so much wealth immediately after the Civil War, that it might even be destroyed? How did they do it?! You know, they come from zero, from zero, some of them never even got 40 acres and a mule. Let’s try to emulate that.”
However, the incoming governor’s views on the COVID-19 vaccine and the missions seem to really catch Bash off guard. After the CNN hosts and Sears talked over and over about how Virginia had long been tasked with vaccinating a host of other diseases, Sears grumbled that vaccines had become too politicized.
She also stated that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris said they “wouldn’t trust any vaccine” developed by the Trump administration while they were candidates.
“What is science? Can someone tell us what to believe in the end?! ‘ Sears exclaimed.
After State of the Union The moderator explained that Harris and Biden actually said they would trust vaccine scientists and experts rather than just Trump’s word, then she pressed Sears about her vaccination status. During her campaign, while encouraging others to get vaccinated, Sears declined to say whether she herself had been vaccinated, states that “no one is required to disclose their immunization status.”
Again, the governor-elect refused to share whether she had been vaccinated.
“As I said, America, if nothing else, is about liberty,” Sears replied. “It’s about being able to live your life without being told by the government what to do.”
She continued: “And so we understand this about the slippery slopes, when I start telling you about my vaccine status, we’ll go down to the bottom of the mountain to try to figure out how to do it. We went there because now you want to know what’s in my DNA. You will want to know this, that and that. ”
Sears also complained about New York City’s vaccine regulations, noting that restaurants are asking customers to show identification to reveal they’ve been vaccinated before entering. Furthermore, she also implied that vaccines – yes Proven safe and effective-Can be dangerous.
“Assuming you get vaccinated, go ahead and vaccinate, if that’s what you want to do, get vaccinated,” says Sears. “Don’t force anyone else.”
She then warned: “We know, and by the way, the media, they don’t tell us that people are suffering as a result of vaccination. They have all kinds of problems. I understand it can be very small, but when you’re one of the 30,000 who get it, it’s very important to you, so we need to articulate the good, the bad and the bad about vaccines.” .
