Will Kate Bishop Set Up New ‘Avengers’ HQ?

Hawk Eye Viewers have been able to see a lot of expensive and impressive New York City real estate in the three episodes that have aired so far. And some of the Bishops’ more lavish mansions have some Redditors wondering: Will a Bishop mansion become the fan-favorite Avengers Mansion that the MCU has long been lacking?

While Avengers fans have seen two iconic Avengers Headquarters in the MCU so far, the Stark/Avengers tower was destroyed in Age of Ultron and Avengers Compound, destroyed in Endgame, the oldest mansion of the Avengers, the Avengers Mansion, is yet to appear.

Interior of Henry Clay Frick’s House

According to comic continuity, the Mansion, which originally belonged to Tony Stark’s parents, was assigned to the team for use in the second issue of the original comics in 1963. It continued to be used until the end. destroyed in the middle of the Avengers Disassembled storyline. The Mansion, fictionally located at 580 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, was inspired by the real-life Henry Clay Frick House (located at the same address). It’s arguably one of the most recognizable retail districts in Marvel Comic history, on the same level as the Fantastic Four’s Baxter Building or Doctor Strange’s Greenwich Village (which has appeared multiple times in the MCU).

The fate of the Avengers group at this point is still a bit confusing. Although it ostensibly survives, the team is still traumatized by the deaths of Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff. With Captain America and Thor both effectively removed from the team at the end Endgame, the new organization is currently anonymous. The new headquarters could be a huge step forward in branding a whole new version of the team.

Kate Bishop has been considered a fan of The Avengers in general and Hawkeye in particular, as a child watching them fight against the Chitauri invasion in the Avengers‘The Battle of New York. With her massive family fortune and her own hero worship, it’s not out of the question for her to pass on her family fortune to Hawkeye in hopes of re-establishing the team.

That said, there are still three episodes of Hawkeye to air. At the end of episode three, Kate, whose credit card has been canceled and has been favored by her mother, is not exactly qualified to give away any of the family’s estate. Also, with many fans speculating that Vera Farmiga’s Eleanor Bishop might not exactly be on the side of the angels, a lot will be revealed before the rest of the Avengers continue to reside in NYU.
