Why Amouranth is the most watched female Twitch streamer

Pull out has become one of the most popular live streaming services available, attracting 140 million monthly users by 2022, according to EarthWeb. Many streamers have managed to attract viewers to Twitch with content like streaming video games, chats, music shows and more.

Q2 2022 viewership statistics for the streaming platform, collected by StreamHatchet late last month, show that Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa continues to beat out competitors like Pokimane as Twitch’s top female streamer, to the surprise of some people. StreamCharts recorded 8.38 million hours watched on Amouranth’s channel in Q2 2022 as opposed to 4.53 million hours for Pokimane. There are probably a few good reasons why it’s ahead of the competition.

Amouranth’s winning strategies

Amouranth ranked 56th among all male and female Twitch streamers in terms of watch time, according to StreamHatchet. The streamer is certainly no stranger to this success, having been a popular name since Twitch launched in 2016. Sites like Ginx previously reported that she was also among the top-earning 0.01 percent of creators on OnlyFans, earning over $1.5 million a month.

Amouranth’s rise to fame could be attributed to a certain amount of luck, but it’s a unique blend of content creation techniques that has kept them in the spotlight. Perhaps the biggest help is the fact that Amouranth can stream consistently, which has built a loyal audience for her. She streams nearly every day, about 70 hours a week, averaging nearly 9,000 viewers according to TwitchMetrics.

While sticking to a streaming schedule is already a powerful asset to growing a community, Amouranth’s ability to dominate contentious Twitch metas and move from one category to another is nearly unparalleled. While initially known for her cosplay and ASMR, she has managed to gain experience in a variety of different categories, including animals, aquariums and zoos, and games like just dance.

Amouranth was able to build a community that cares about her personality and her content. Over the years, the streamer has become incredibly adept at finding popular metas and becoming a top performer at it. This is evident in her performance on both Twitch hot tub streams and ASMR trends of 2021. Right now, Amouranth can be seen showering in a bikini or playing games raid 4.

There’s a saying, “All publicity is good publicity,” which might be true in Amouranth’s case. She is always in the public eye, including through activities such as Amouranth’s series of investments in gas stations and other companies, leading her own convention, and her activities on social media like Twitter. Some of her choices have been controversial, like creating NSFW content or streaming herself asleep, some of which have even led to her being banned on Twitch and other platforms. However, Amouranth has always been able to recover and continue to do what she enjoys.

As the year progresses, it would be nice to see more women break into the top 100 for Twitch and YouTube streamers and pop up alongside the top Pull out Channels like xQc, Gaules and Asmongold. According to the Stream Hatchet report, in Q2 2022, 99 of the top 100 streamers on Twitch were male. Hopefully, Amouranth retaining a spot among these top streamers will open the door for others.
