Who will be the main villain in Hawkeye?

Fans are theorizing who will be the villains in the new Marvel series Hawk Eye. With the recent release of the first two volumes on Disney +, fans can have their answers.

The most obvious answer would be Jack Duquense, who is famous in the Marvel universe as the villain Swordsman, but this could be a red herring as a last-minute reveal at the end of the second episode brings to a big hint that a bigger villain could be played.

The audience is introduced to a woman who is feeling the bass coming from a nearby speaker. Although viewers don’t know the character’s name, fans have identified the woman as actress Alaqua Cox.

Cox is said to play the character Maya Lopez throughout the series and in the comics better known as Echo. This revelation is what leads us to believe that the real villain throughout the series is likely the crime lord. Kingpin.

Echo is a deaf Native American woman from the Cheyenne Country who has photographic reflexes, the ability to allow her to perfectly reproduce any bodily movement she sees. This ability is what makes the Kingpin particularly interested in her.

The comics tell us that Echo’s father, William Lopez, was murdered by the Kingpin. Kingpin then recruits Echo into his crime ring, directing Echo to do his dirty work.

Echo has a very detailed backstory throughout the comics, which is probably why an Echo TV show was announced. on Disney + Day. While a release date or specifics have yet to be announced, it’s likely that the show will follow a similar trajectory to the comics. And that of course begs the question: will we see an Echo/Daredevil team in the future?

Do you think we’ll see Kingpin in the Hawkeye series or do you have a theory of your own? Let us know in the comments section.
