Fred Savage is an actor known for television roles including The Grinder and Friends From College, and films such as The Princess Bride and Austin Powers: Goldmember.

The Wonder Years is a reboot of the original 1988 series.

From 1988 to 1993, Savage, 45, starred on the show as Kevin Arnold, playing a teenager growing up in a suburban middle-class family in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The series revival premiered last year, following Elisha ‘EJ’ Williams as protagonist Dean Williams.

Savage directed several episodes of the first The Wonder Years reboot, which is still showing in the US.

The most recent episode he directed was released in March of this year.

He also just appeared in an episode of The Afterparty, a murder mystery comedy TV series that premiered on Apple TV Plus in January.

Fred Savage has been removed from his position as director and executive producer of The Wonder Years following complaints of misconduct.

The producer of 20th Television said it was aware of the allegations against the actor and had opened an investigation.

Deadline reported that following the conclusion of the investigation, the decision to terminate Savage’s employment was decided.

20th Television said in a statement shared with the US trade publication: “We were recently made aware of allegations of inappropriate behavior by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation. check has been started.

“Once completed, decided to end his work as executive producer and director of The Wonder Years.”

No further details of the claims were shared.
