Echoes in Marvel Comics

In the Marvel comics, Maya Lopez is a Native American who was born deaf but she is gifted in other ways. From an early age, Maya has had the ability to reproduce any physical movement she sees.

After her father was murdered by his own boss, Kingpin, Maya Lopez was adopted by him. She grew up to be an adept boxer and a concert pianist. She later adopted the alias Echo to take down Daredevil, when the Kingpin told her that Daredevil was responsible for killing her father.

Echo hunts down Matt Murdock for revenge, which leads her to discover the truth that Kingpin killed her father.

Echo aka Maya Lopez is the new villain of the MCU

In the TV show Hawekey, Echo appears at the end of the first two episodes. Given her brief appearance in those two episodes, it’s hard to say what role she’ll play in the MCU.

But since Echo was introduced after Clint tried to figure out who was in charge of the goons Mafia Tracksuits, looks like she will most likely turn out to be a villain.

While Echo’s overall mission in Marvel’s Hawkeye show isn’t clear at the moment, it’s clear that she holds a lot of power in New York’s criminal underworld. This shows the threat she posed to Clint and Kate.
