Who got married and who broke up?

Love is blind hive, the time has finally come again. On Friday, Netflix premiered the final season of Season 2 of their most chaotic dating show yet — and although there were no brides on the run this time, there’s still a lot of mess to turn around. The in-season reunion is set for March 4, and with the amount of serious breakups we’ve just witnessed, the conversations seem to be turning heated.

But without further ado, here’s a breakdown of who said “I do”—and who left the show in tears.

Nick and Danielle

The finale opened at Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl’s ceremony. She was nervous and he was sweating (literally), but in the end, the pair said their “I do” and decided to leave the show as husband and wife.

“I’m not 100% sure she’s 100% sure,” Nick said in the interview after the couple’s ceremony. “But it all turned out the way it was supposed to, and that meant I was a married man and we had a weird 50-year life together. I can’t wait any longer.”

While we’ve seen a lot of controversy between Nick and Danielle, the two are still one of the most suitable couples this season. Let’s be honest: we know it’s fate when they hang out in Danielle’s Halloween costumes.

Danielle said: “We love each other and care for each other more than we can express to anyone. “He’s my man and he’s the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

Now that they’re married, let’s hope they can finally reach an agreement on where to put her Rock Band.

Deep and shaking

blank

Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee and Deepti “Deeps” Vempati may be the most disappointing couple this season – so I am relieved to announce that they are not married. And I’m nervous that report is because Deepti finally decided that she deserved better.

“I hope you know how much you mean to me and the impact you have had on my life,” Deepti told her betrothed at the altar. “But no, I can’t marry you. I deserve someone to know for sure. So I’m choosing myself and I would say no. “

The problem with Deepti and Shake was obvious from the start: Not only did Shake openly admit to being shallow while in his shell – something he vowed to do but never actually did – but he also spent half a season to lament that he didn’t ‘not feel an “instinctive” physical attraction to his bride when they had left the shell. (Honestly, it’s crazy, because look at her!)

“He’s not the one for me because if he were, he would make me feel like I’m the only one, and he never does,” Deepti told producers after the ceremony.

Shake, who led his wedding looking like he was preparing for his own funeral, expressed relief at being left on the altar.

“That was probably for the best, man,” he told his friends later. “Thank God I didn’t have to say anything. And you know, [it was] very transparent, I’m the one standing in front of the fence. ” (Ed note: Obviously, sir, you’re not the only one!) He continued: “I said, ‘Please be the one to turn me down! I can handle it! I can take it! it. ‘”

After a sweet moment with her mother, who expressed nothing but pride in her daughter’s decision, Deepti spoke her final truth: “I have no regrets.”

Speaking to The Daily Beast (before we see the finale showrunners), Deepti said her experience on the show has “dramatically changed” her approach to dating.

While she initially put the ball in Shake’s court when it came to deciding the fate of their relationship, Deepti said that before the ceremony, “I took a step back and I wondered, ‘Why? I try again to find out if Shake wants me? Do I even want him? ‘ And that’s how I approach relationships now.”

“I need to focus on what I want in a person, and not necessarily always try to impress others and make sure they want me,” she continued. “That was old Deepti. We will get over that. “

Natalie and Shayne

blank

Perhaps the most bewildering couple of the season, Shayne Jansen and Natalie Lee was the wedding I was perhaps most curious about as we entered the finale. The two have built a close relationship under the hood, but their communication has always been a mess; he doesn’t like her sense of humor and often becomes defensive and even verbally aggressive when pushed in the wrong way. And that doesn’t even need to be mentioned Shaina of all.

This week, we learn that Natalie and Shayne had a nasty fight the night before their wedding in which she confronted him about drinking too much and he apparently told her that he hates her and thinks she is the worst thing that has ever happened to him. Not exactly what you want just hours before your wedding!

Both halves of the couple expressed their doubts entering the ceremony, so it’s no surprise that Natalie said she could Not have and keep Shayne until both will live.

“I am so glad we shared this journey together,” she told him. “I think we have grown a lot as two lovers. I know I’ve grown a lot because of you. But I no. I’m so sorry. I’m really sorry, Shayne. I still love you and you’re still my best friend, but like, we have really big problems to work out. ”

“I know,” Shayne replied. “Oh Boy.”

The two tried to talk after the ceremony, but before long, they had already started fighting the night before. When Shayne says he meant everything he said, Natalie asks if that includes telling her he hates her and thinks she’s the worst thing for him. With the places they’ve left everything behind, it looks like their reunion next week will be tumultuous.

“I’m in pain,” Shayne told producers after he and Natalie split. “I’m hurt, OK? I am very hurt, I am very sad. Anything else you want to know about it, man? … I still love her, still think she’s a good person, but do you really think I’ll come back to you after all that again? ”

While Natalie is still in love with Shayne, she said, “I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and it just confirmed that I made the right decision for myself.” Looking at Shayne at the ceremony, she said she felt “tense and scared.”

“Love can only go so far.”

Sal and Mal

blank

Their connection is electric in the shell, but from the moment Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez stepped out into the real world, their relationship seemed to be slowly fading away. Mallory can’t figure out why her attraction to Sal isn’t coming to her, but after a while, the two seem to return to their cute, emotional love wavelength. (May we all meet an opera enthusiast playing the ukulele one day!)

Unfortunately, just as much love as these two can give each other is not enough. They shared heartfelt declarations of love on the altar, but when asked if he wanted to marry Mallory, Sal tearfully admitted that he couldn’t.

“I feel like I need more time,” he said. And when she says to him, “It’s okay,” you can tell she means it.

Sal apologizes to Mal’s family — a good move! —And finally the two sat down to talk. It’s unclear what their future might hold, but it doesn’t seem like they’re ruling out getting to know each other the old-fashioned way.

When asked if he wanted to continue dating, Sal replied, “It just takes me a few days, right? Let’s take a moment to all this and let’s talk… I think what we should do next is go on a date. “

Although Mal said she would “love it,” naturally, she was also a little hurt. “I gave myself 100 percent,” she told the producers, “and it was just… I don’t know. I was scared to put myself out there and get hurt. I don’t let many people in.”

When asked what, if anything, he would do differently this season, Sal told The Daily Beast, “I won’t hold back much when it comes to on-camera debates and whatnot, you guys. Know it? Because I feel that’s part of the experience, too, and it’s part of relationships. And I think that’s the key to the story. You know, I would lean more on that — more on shredding things with Mallory. ”

Iyanna and Jarrette

blank

There’s no cuter couple this season than Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely — so it’s no surprise that they ended up being the success story to wrap up this finale.

Sure, Jarrette had that connection with Mal from the start — and yes, he’d have to prove to Iyanna that he was as capable of breaking away from all the parties as a married man. family. But have you watched these two? They always go down the aisle, and I’ve never liked a more predictable ending.

Iyanna told The Daily Beast in a recent interview that while navigating Jarrette-Mallory was “definitely an uncomfortable thing to go through,” the roadblock “finally made our foundation solid.” a little more certain.”

“I think the fact that I trusted him and I put my trust in him, and he proved to me that I would be a priority, that means a lot to me, ” she said.

Although the producers try to hint at the possibility that Jarrette and Iyanna may not be getting married, their fates seem to have been sealed before the episode even begins. And if anyone has doubts about participating, I have to imagine those things melted away the moment Jarrette told the producers, through what can only be described as a manic smile, ” I love Iyanna to the moon and back, to infinity and beyond.” At the altar, things only get more interesting when the two self-proclaimed “thugs” try not to cry.

Iyanna said to her fiancé: “I feel very understanding of you. “I feel very dear to you. And that never happened. I just feel like I have to be with you. You were made for me, and I was made for you. “

Jarrette, meanwhile, said Iyanna “showed me that I could be loved the way I wanted to be loved.”

“No other woman would accept me for who I am, my flaws and all,” he said. “You took me and you took care of me, you raised me, and all this happens through the walls. And I know that this is something real, something powerful, and something that can stand the test of time. And I know it’s only going to get better. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. ”

The words it embraces it? “Ditto, man.”

Now we know why, when asked by The Daily Beast if she’d change anything about her journey this season, Iyanna responded with a light chuckle and said, “I don’t. think I would change anything.”
