Which Constitution? 6th Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson says if you plead for the 5th time, you are guilty

Bennie Thompson, Chair of the partisan, Marxist Committee, appeared on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Wednesday night. He actually told the host on the left that Americans who exercise their 5th Amendment rights, are guilty of crimes.

Thompson’s statement goes directly against the Constitutional right of citizens not to be compelled to speak (testify) against themselves.

In the Constitution of the United States of America – VU Amendment

“No one shall be held to answer for capital, or other notorious crime, except upon presentation or indictment by a Grand jury, except in cases arising in land or naval forces, or in the militia, when practical service is timely. war or public danger; nor has anyone committed a similar crime in which life or limb is endangered twice; nor be forced to testify against yourself in any criminal case, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process; Private property is also not used for public purposes other than compensation. ”

In addition, in the Miranda rule, recognized by the Supreme Court as a constitutional right in the 1966 decision Miranda v. suspects must be informed of their Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights “before questioning.”

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided to you. Do you understand the permissions I just read to you? With these permissions, would you like to talk to me? “

Well, Thompson and the other Democratic fascists on the January 6 mock committee continued to add and subpoenaed more Trump associates in their “investigation.”

Some have ties to former President Donald. J Trump, and/or participate in all events leading up to and taking place on January 6, 2021, including Roger Stone and Alex Jones. Both gentlemen said they would probably beg the Fifth to respond to the subpoena.

Earlier on Wednesday, the committee voted to hold former Trump DOJ official Jeffery Clark in contempt for defying a subpoena.

“As a result, we will give Mr Clark the power to assert his Fifth Amendment before the committee if he so chooses,” Thompson said. “We’re doing everything we can to show we’re not partisan.”

“But you know, if you say you didn’t do anything wrong and you want to assert the Fifth Amendment right to self-defence, that says you have something to hide. So we will give him a chance to do that.”

“He can do it and it will be sworn in and he still has certain penalties if he decides not to tell us anything,” Thompson added.

“If he says, ‘I’ll come but I’ll beg the Fifth,’ in some cases say you’re partly and completely guilty of what happened,” he said.
