Where to find Manaphy and Phione in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legend: Arceus is bringing back a ton of popular Pokémon — and mythical creatures are no exception.

During the game, you will have the opportunity to encounter and capture the legendary Pokémon Manaphy. This mysterious Pokémon can be extremely difficult to find even if you know what you’re doing.

If you’re planning to add Manaphy to your party, a bit of setup is required to enable encounters. Here’s everything you need to know.

The first thing you need to find Manaphy is to get Claim 66: Legends of the Sea from the blackboard in Professor Laventon’s office.

After receiving this request, you will need a third of the Pokémon from the Cobalt Coastlands. Those are Buizel, Mantyke and Overqwil. Make sure they are the first three Pokémon in your party and in that order.

While in the Cobalt Coastlands with the Pokémon in your party, wait until evening and go through the Sea’s Gate near Coastland’s Camp. When you go through the portal, you will have a dialogue queue.

Now go deeper into the ocean in the direction of the giant rocks and along the other side you will notice an opening cave. Continue through the first of these holes until you reach Seaside Hollow. Jump on the rocks and go in.

Inside you will meet both Manaphy and Phione, which you can fight and capture. After completing the Requirement, you can return to the professor and score yourself a reward.
