Giratina is one of the most popular Pokémon from the fourth generation. Since first appearing in Pokémon Diamond and Pearlfans have been drawn to the powerful species — and now they can catch it again, this time in Legend: Arceus.

While the game’s promotional material may not be shown, Giratina plays an important role in the story told in venturing into the Hisui region for the first time. If you continue on your path to uncovering the region’s secrets, you’ll eventually come across Giratina.

If you want to speed up the process by knowing where you are and what you need to do, here’s everything there is to know about how you can meet and catch Giratina in Pokémon Legend: Arceus.

Eventually, Giratina will be hidden inside the Turnback Cave, however, there are a few things you need to do first.

The first time you face Giratina, you won’t be able to catch it. Instead, it will take place during the Story battle. After you’ve completed most of the story, including catching Palkia and Dialga, when the villains show up, you take them over.

After defeating their group of six Pokémon, they’ll summon Giratina, which you’ll need best in battle to continue. After defeating Giratina in her normal form, you will need to do so a second time in her Altered form.

Once you defeat Giratina, the main story will be complete and you will now be on your way to capturing Giratina for yourself. Now you just have to head to Turnback Cave, which can be found in the northwest corner of the Cobalt Coastlands, where Giratina is waiting to be challenged and captured.
