Where to find Diggers in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

During your adventure in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, you may stumble across Secret Base. This mysteriously named feature allows players to create areas in the Grand Underground and place statues on them.

However, getting into Secret Bases requires a bit of effort as players will need a Digging Drill to be able to craft one. To get the Digger Drill, you will need to complete specific quests in the game. Here’s how you can get one for yourself in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls.

Where to find Excavator

One of the ways to get the Digger Drill in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls was completing a quest for the Underground Man in Eterna City, the same NPC that launched the Discovery Toolkit. He lives next door to the Pokémon Center and will give the player various quests to complete.

Upon meeting him for the first time, you will receive an Adventurer’s Toolkit, which grants access to the Grand Underground. After you return from your first excavation, the Underground Man will give you some rewards for venturing below the surface. If you talk to him again, he will ask you to find some treasure for him and unearth the loot that will earn you the Digger.

To find treasures for the Underground Man, look at your radar for “any golden light,” as he puts it. Interacting with the marked points will trigger a mini-game to unearth the required items. Talk to him again after collecting his loot, and you’ll be rewarded with a Digger Drill.

The Digger Drill allows you to create a Secret Base on the Grand Underground that can be used as a place to place statues below the surface.
