The Horizon Festival was held in Mexico for Forza Horizon 5, and it has many different terrains and landmarks to explore. One of the biggest landmarks is the La Gran Caldera volcano, but if players haven’t participated in the Events nearby, they may not know its exact location.

There are not many quests in Forza Horizon 5 requires the player to find the location themselves, but the Sleeping Giant Photo Challenge requires the player to locate a volcano from memory and take a picture of a Modern Race Car while on it.

La Gran Volcano in Forza Horizon 5 can be found in the northwest corner of the map, just east of the Dunas Blancas region near the coast. It can be quickly located by looking for the long and zigzag red paths leading to the top.

Knowing the volcano’s location is just one of the steps required to complete the Series 1 Fall Sleeping Giants Photo Challenge. Players must also be in a Modern Race Car when taking the photo.

To search for a specific vehicle type, players should pause and go to the “Vehicles” tab, then select “Swap Vehicles”. Press Y to filter the selection and go down to “Vehicle Type”, then tick “Modern Track”. Select any car from the list. If nothing shows up, go to Auto Show or Auction House to buy a car in Forza Horizon 5.

After boarding the Modern Track, locate the volcano on the map and make your way to the top. Or if fast travel has been unlocked in Forza Horizon 5, press X while the cursor is on the volcano to move there almost instantly.

While the photo on the Festival Playlist looks like it was taken inside the crater, players can take a photo anywhere on the volcano to mark the Sleeping Giants challenge as complete. Press the d-pad while in the Modern Rally car and press A to take a photo. If Horizon Ads has been unlocked in Forza Horizon 5, the player can press RB to take a snapshot.

Completing the challenge unlocks the “Sleepy” Emoji and adds 2 Points to Fall’s seasonal total. 22 points are required to unlock the Honda Civic 84′ and 42 points are required for the Radical RXC. All Series 1 challenges and rewards can be viewed at any time by choosing between sections from the Festival Playlist menu.
