The Nintendo Wii U and 3DS eShops will be shutting down completely at the end of March 2023. The Nintendo support page The announcement of the closure does not give a specific date, but it does state:
“As of late March 2023, purchases in the Nintendo eShop will no longer be possible for the Wii U system and the Nintendo 3DS line of systems. It will also no longer be able to download free content, including game demos.
However, the company will remove some functionality before that date. On May 23, 2022, users lost the ability to use credit cards to add funds to accounts in the eShop on Wii U and 3Ds. Users will then be able to add funds to their system using Nintendo eShop Cards, but only until August 29, 2022. After that, users will have to link their Nintendo Network ID wallet to their Nintendo Account wallet and use shared balance to buy content.
Can I still download my game?
