World of Warcraft Classic TBCThe second PvP season has officially ended, leaving many players curious as to when the game’s sequel will begin. While Blizzard hasn’t officially announced an exact date for the next season, there are a few stats that give us a general idea of what to expect.
In an official post on Blizzard’s forums, the developer pointed out that the third and third part content for Classic will arrive “at a later date in early 2022.”
Due to the PvP reward system, it is likely that Blizzard is trying to ensure that the third installment release matches the level six raid content in the upcoming period.
The blizzard was continuously showing transparent Classic TBC that it didn’t feel the need to follow the release patterns it did when TBC was originally released in the mid-2000s. For that reason, players shouldn’t expect the two-day shift between seasons as originally existed when the game launched.
Instead, it seems Blizzard is more concerned with ensuring that level six raid content is prepared before proceeding. While Blizzard hasn’t set any specific dates for the new phase either, testing of raids for that period has been going on since early December.
With the models that Blizzard has done in the past with TBC, one can expect that the game will move into phase three within the next two weeks or so, bringing in the new PvP arena season.
The ambiguity the developer is using in his posts is consistent with much of what they’ve announced throughout. TBC Classic. Not wanting to disappoint fans by pushing back the release date, Blizzard has frequently said that releases will be “coming soon”. Official dates for releases are usually only valid a week or two in advance. So keep an eye out for an announcement in the next week or so.
This article will be updated when Blizzard officially announces the start of the third season arena.
