What’s on Paramount Plus from 1883 to The Offer

New streaming service Paramount+ launches in the UK this month and is available on Sky and Now TV

When Paramount+ finally launches in the UK on June 22, it will join the streaming wars and pit its content catalog against Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and Netflix.

The newest streamer on the block has an impressive lineup of classic shows and movies like The Godfather trilogy, The Twilight Zone and the original Star Trek TV series.

But there are also plenty of new shows that premiered in the US last year and are finally making their UK debut.

Here are some of the most anticipated series coming to the UK via Paramount+ from June 22nd:

What shows are on Paramount+?


Halo TV series

In this video game adaptation series, the hero of the Halo games, Master Chief, fights against an alien invasion that threatens all of humanity.

In the 26th century epic showdown, Master Chief and his super soldiers Spartans battle the Covenant, an alien empire, in search of the mysterious Halo, a superweapon with unknown abilities.

This prequel to the western series Yellowstone follows the Dutton family on their journey from Tennessee to Montana along the Oregon Trail in the late 19th century.

Sam Elliott, who played Virgil Earp in the cowboy epic Tombstone, is the leader of the family on the series, while real-life married country singers Tim McGraw and Faith Hill star in this gritty husband-and-wife story James and Margaret Dutton play west stretch.

The offer

Miles Teller on sale

This ten-part true story drama series follows the ominous tale of the making of the film The Godfather in the early 1970’s and stars Miles Teller as producer Albert S. Ruddy.

The series encountered constant roadblocks throughout the production process, with actual crime boss Joe Colombo cracking down on the film, constant casting battles, and staggering budget woes.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

This prequel to the original Star Trek series (which is also available on Paramount+) follows the crew of the USS Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike.

Set in the decade before the events of Star Trek, it sees the revival of many original characters, including Pike, Spock, and Uhura, as they visit new planets and civilizations across the galaxy.

The man who fell to earth

The man who fell to earth

Based on the 1976 film of the same name, starring David Bowie, this modern day remake sees an alien, Faraday, arrive on Earth posing as a human to find the woman he believes can save his species .

However, when the two join forces, they realize that Earth’s fate is also threatened, and before they can save Faraday’s world, they must first save Earth.

The First Lady

This sprawling historical drama series follows three different First Ladies during their time before and in the White House and the impact they had on their husbands and the country.

The first ladies and their husbands on the series are Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt, Betty and Gerald Ford, and Michelle and Barack Obama.

Ghislaine – accomplice

This four-part documentary miniseries tells the story of Ghislaine Maxwell, her involvement and complicity in the recruitment and sex trafficking of young girls for sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Featuring interviews with Maxwell’s siblings, friends and legal experts, and their alleged victims, the series explores the crimes that took place behind closed doors on Epstein’s private island.

Mayor of Kingston

Jeremy Renner in Kingstown Mayor

The crime series Mayor of Kingstown is set in the eponymous city of Michigan, where the incarceration business is one of the few profitable businesses.

The series stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky, part of a family of power brokers who make their money as intermediaries between police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians, trying to bring some semblance of justice to their town.
