On Sunday night, an argument between rapper DaBaby and the mother of his child, singer DaniLeigh, went live on Instagram, with both sides live-streaming various parts of the fight. The incident, which involved DaBaby filming DaniLeigh as she bottle-fed her 3-month-old baby, seems to revolve around DaBaby wanting her to move out of the Charlotte, North Carolina apartment, where she says she lives. since their child was born. The two were rumored to be dating since March 2020. The next afternoon, TMZ reported that DaniLeigh had been charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault.

During her own live stream of events, the police can be seen in the background; she claims DaBaby called them to try to get her out of the apartment.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers confirmed to TMZ that they were called Sunday night when DaBaby accused DaniLeigh of assaulting him. On Monday morning, the couple appeared again arguing on DaBaby’s Instagram Live. According to police, DaBaby made a second confession of domestic abuse at 9:30 a.m. that morning, when they went to the apartment and charged DaniLeigh with two counts of minor assault. DaniLeigh has yet to be arrested and she posted an Instagram Story Monday afternoon showing the ceiling of a plane and writing, “I left and me and my baby are safe.”
