What Would You Like To See From The Next Great MMORPG?

Interoperability.

As I sit down this long weekend and think what I love most about some of my favorite MMORPGs, interactivity is at the top of my list. I love To what extent can I interact with the world? Scrolls online. The fact that almost everything in the room is something that I can pick up or search for makes the room, the building, the dungeon – wherever I am – come to life more fully.

It’s not perfect. For example, I can’t take a pastry and roll it in my hand, putting it down exactly where I want it down the street to confuse a passing guard. But compared to other traditional MMORPGs, where the world presentation is rather sluggish or “starts to slow down”, it’s a nice flourish and something reminiscent of the mainstream RPG series. .

As for the next great MMORPG, is it New Marvel Daybreak MMO Confirmed or something else, I want more interaction. If that’s the modern context, let me flip a light switch. Let me migrate a table without having to import a version. Let’s turn every building into something I can walk in and explore, not simply a window to the world.

I wanted to feel like every blade of grass moved with my character and I could reach out and pull each blade of grass if I wanted to. I prefer a craft of cooking that involves actually slicing, sautéing, and finishing dishes versus watching a progress bar, well, progress. Give me a cook, screaming it’s Bloody RAW in my ears as my character gets angry juilenne is the next course. Let me even grow carrots that I would pickle to make kimchi if it existed in that world.

I want every aspect of the game world to be fully interactive, something that I feel like and not for this comparison, but that I am living a second life so to speak in this world.

It doesn’t have to sacrifice the “fun” or “gamification” of what is ultimately a game. But I like to believe that every aspect of the world is alive and something I can interact with. At least let me sit down on every chair in the world.
