What we know about the upcoming Paramount + series

Halo, the longstanding video game franchise, is often praised for its fun story and engaging characters. For this, live-action adaptation has been done for years with the goal of being able to market the story to people who simply had no or no exposure to video games. Despite the popularity of the series and the solid foundation they’ve laid for storytelling, the franchise’s adaptations have struggled to truly come to fruition. However, Paramount’s most recent attempt looks like it’ll actually be out soon, despite the fact that not much is known about the series yet.

In 2001, Bungie launched a series of sci-fi games with Halo: Combat Evolved. The invented first-person shooter was an instant hit, and the sequels will soon follow. As the franchise changed hands over time and Microsoft saw a number of studio heads rotate back and forth, talks over a live-action adaptation have been initiated and paused several times. Big names like Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro and Neil Blomkamp have been around for years, with many of these dropping out to work on other projects.

Halo Forward Unto Dawn Master Chief

Halo has actually seen two different, completed, real-life adaptation attempts to date. One of these is Halo: Forward to Dawn, produced by 343 Studios and Microsoft to promote the release Halo 4. With Microsoft saying the series will come out in the last 8 years, it’s never certain when fans will actually get a chance to witness the project come to fruition. Despite the many delays, it looks like the series is finally coming out. A trailer was recently posted on Twitter introduced the live-action Master Chief armor while revealing that the show will premiere sometime in 2022. While it hasn’t been a rough day, it’s more confirmation than what’s been shown for the show. now.

Although the full waiting period is unknown, the film’s cast has been announced. Pablo Schreiber will take on the lead role of John, Head of the AKA Organizing Committee. Schreiber, Liev Schreiber’s half-brother, was previously seen in Orange is the new black and Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. Many other main characters from Halo franchise will appear, with Natascha McElhone playing Doctor Catherine Halsey, Olive Gray playing Miranda Keyes, and Danny Sapani playing Captain Jacob Keyes. Jen Taylor will also reprise her role in the game as the voice of AI Cortana.

Halo TV Series Master Chief

Really revealed very little about the plot of Halo mass, with most notices simply saying it will follow Master Chief after the Covenant hit humanity in the 16th century.
