What to Know, How to Watch – WWD

The revival of “Sex and the City” “And Just Like That” is being billed as a documentary.

Along with the final episode of “And Just Like That,” which premiered on February 3, HBO Max has also released a documentary – surprising fans. The hour-long film will feature behind-the-scenes footage as well as interviews with cast and crew members, including Sarah Jessica ParkerCynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

News about the movie was announced earlier this week, when HBO Max’s social media channels posted the trailer. “This season may be over, but we’re not done yet,” the caption read. “And Just Like That… Documentary premieres February 3, HBO Max only.”

“Even 23 years later, I’m thrilled,” Parker, who also co-executed the film special, said in the trailer. “Terrified and delighted.”

“Getting to know our new members is just a gift, and we all have something new brought to us by them,” Davis says later in the clip.

Fashion, of course, is also emphasized in the trailer, which shows clips of Davis, Parker and Sarita Choudhury trying on different clothes, colorful and outstanding seen on reboot.

Costume designer Molly Rogers said: “You need to step out of your comfort zone, which is what this show is known for. Rogers also worked on the costumes in the original series, along with Patricia Field, who did not return to work on the reboot.

Portions of the trailer also show Nixon in the director’s chair and a small clip of Willie Garson, who died suddenly of pancreatic cancer while filming last year. His character Stanford Blatch was dropped from the show when he left Japan indefinitely.

The documentary “And Just Like That” is available to watch on HBO Max now.
