The goal is to replace every “Yes” or “No” with a “Yes, but” / “No, but”: “I can continue, but it will pay an additional price.” “I don’t do that kind of work, but I can attract someone to do.” You can decide how flexible you are on a case-by-case basis, but the contract will set a baseline so you don’t have to give too much away. You are still solving problems for your customers but not creating more for yourself.
