Every fall, competitors in the sports genre roll out their latest creations to wow their fans once again. Sequels often include the following year in their names, which was once the case with Konami Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) in a long time.

PES has been the main competitor of FIFA too long and the game has improved dramatically over the years. Despite all the unique additions and elements, PES still one step behind FIFA in popularity. It seems Konami is changing her fighting style, but since PES now renamed to eFootball and it will be a free to play (F2P) game.

In addition to going F2P, eFootball will use another game engine, Unreal Engine 4. EFootball looking to be more accessible cách FIFA and its wide range of available platforms support that. EFootball will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Steam for PC players.

While the game will be mechanically ready for release in the fall, Konami has also released a roadmap showcasing all the extras players will expect post-release. Immediately after the game goes live, Online Tournaments and Team Building modes will be available, increasing the level of competition in the game.

Cross-platform matches will also be added to the game sometime in late fall and early winter. E-sports tournaments will also start around winter, so you should start practicing as soon as the match goes live.

Considering eFootball As F2P, players will be greeted with several popular monetization models for such games. Konami is looking to add a Match Pass system, essentially the Battle Pass that has become popular in games like Fortnite and Call of Duty. While not much has been said about the game’s business model, it wouldn’t be surprising to see cosmetic items at the heart of the game’s monetization system. | What systems is Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2022, eFootball on?
