Anyone who knows the game Mastermind, which works with colored pencils, will immediately be familiar with the premise of Wordle.

The goal of the game is to guess the secret word in six tries, using a series of clues to figure it out.

Users share on social media how many tries it took them to solve the riddle, as once solved, the site offers players an opportunity to share their results.

This sharing option generates an emoji grid that replicates the color pattern of your finished puzzle using the black, yellow, and green emoji boxes.

Sharing in this way allows players to share their results completely spoiler free. Users will also indicate what edition of Wordle it is and how many guesses they made, for example “Wordle 187 4/6”.
