What happened on Love Island last night?

After the reunion, Paige met Jay, although her feelings seem to revolve around Jacques
However, late-night episodes can sometimes be difficult to keep up with – occasionally, life gets in the way of watching (mostly) 20 things sit around a Villa in Majorca chat about their type on paper.
To make sure you don’t get caught up, here’s everything you need to know about the events of yesterday’s episode, which aired on Monday 27th June.
Ekin-Su and Davide open the door again
In the ultimate “won’t they” situation, enemies Ekin-Su and Davide could once again open the door to their romance.
While quizzed about her enduring attraction to Davide, Ekin-Su told Dami that “there’s a kind of chemistry” with the Italian.
The couple split two weeks ago after Ekin-Su and Jay were caught crawling onto the rooftop terrace alone for a bit of time while she was still with Davide.
She has expressed that Davide was moving too slowly for her at the time, but Dami said in the latest episode: “Maybe it would have worked if I had waited…”
Jay, who is now dating Paige, teased Davide about the apparent chemistry between the two.
Davide played coy about a possible Ekin-Su reunion, but could this be the start of the fire reigniting between the two?
Gemma and Ekin-Su face each other after a revealing conversation
During a lazy afternoon at the villa, Dami, Charlie, Gemma, Ekin-Su and Indiyah spent some time reading their minds.
Dami told Gemma: “You’re happy with Luca right now. I have a feeling it would take a lot for you to turn around, but there’s a small chance it probably would if someone really walked in who was 100% you.
“I think that’s where the confusion would probably come for you, because we’re not here to play games. I have a feeling you’re still open in a way, probably more open than Luca.”
Gemma agreed with Dami’s prediction before Dami told the group to keep it between them.
The relaxed afternoon, however, took a complete turn when Ekin-Su promptly left the group to share Paige and Jacques Dami’s prediction and Gemma’s approval.
The gossip then spread throughout the villa and Gemma got angry at Ekin-Su’s mysterious conversation.
Jacques told Luca what was said by the group while Gemma took Ekin-Su aside for an explanation, telling her that she had made it worse than it was.
She said to Ekin-Su, “You started it, you made drama for nothing.”
Ekin-Su insisted it wasn’t a “big deal” but the news devastated Luca, who was furious at being the last to know of Dami’s prediction.
Gemma told Luca the comment was “taken out of context” before cutting the conversation off for her partner, telling him she never saw it.
Are Jay and Paige on the same page?
Fans had to cheer for Jacques and Paige after their nightly heart-to-heart on the stairs in the previous episode.
But not everyone found the moment as heartwarming as the fans.
Jay told Paige he was confused at the moment and told her he felt he was getting “mixed signals” from the Welsh paramedic.
He said: “I’m not going to lie, when I woke up this morning I felt a bit of mixed signals. If you say you’re open to getting to know me, cool, but obviously I saw you last night and Jacques had a moment together and I thought maybe it’s just a little too late for me…”
Paige has remained close to Jacques since Jay decided to start dating her, but she has flirted with the Edinburgh boy here and there and might be charmed.
Jacques became agitated after hoping to spend time with Paige before she left to chat with Jay.
In the evening, Paige tells Jay down and explains her feelings to him, telling him that she has everything for Jacuqes and preventing him from getting to know her more romantically.
Andrew and Tasha set the record straight
There was drama at the mansion following Tasha’s engagement with new boy Charlie.
Andrew had to question her intentions after she seemed more than willing to get to know him, despite seemingly being fully into their relationship.
However, in the last episode, Tasha drew Charlie for a chat and ended any possible developing relationship.
Shortly after, she pulled Andrew up onto the rooftop terrace to speak privately.
The dancer told her partner that she was 100% committed to taking their relationship even further.
Andrew, obviously smitten, swallowed her words and was pleased that the couple appeared to be back on track.
So who likes who?
It can be difficult to keep up with who is actually interested in each other in the villa, so here’s a quick rundown of what you need to know.
After the last re-pairing, our official pairs are:
- Charlie and Ekin Su
- jay and paige
- Jacques and Danica
- Damie and Indiah
- Andrew and Tasha
- Davide and Antigoni
- Luca and Gemma
The love triangle between Paige, Jacques, and Jay appears to be over, and Paige tells Jay that she is no longer interested in getting to know him.
Burned by Prediction Gate, Luca questions Gemma’s eagerness for the relationship. However, she has tried to calm her partner down. Despite the difficult day for the couple, they still seem to be on the right track.
Davide has embodied the premise of “never letting her know the next move” after jumping from snogging Danica to coupling with Antigoni to potentially opening the door to reuniting with Ekin-Su.
Tasha pulled Charlie over for a chat and closed the door on any possible pairing before cementing her relationship with Andrew.
Dami and Indiyah are one of the strongest couples in the villa right now.
But who knows what the villa might throw at our islanders next…?
