What are you playing this weekend?

This is an interesting weekend for people, especially if they like Diablo.

Those with keys can jump into the Diablo 4 Early Access beta this weekend – if you can make it: the queues are mighty long. But Blizzard is working to fix it, so hopefully more people will be able to enter Sanctuary soon. Until then, some of us will have to be patient.

Diablo 4 – Early Access Beta Trailer

Connor Makar, Staff Writer – Diablo 4 Beta

This weekend is all about them Diablo 4 beta all Friday and Saturday. I can’t wait to dive in and swim around in all the horror and gruesome action.

I’m going to GDC in San Francisco on Sunday, so I’ll be on a plane for 11 hours. That must be great fun; On the plus side, however, expect some cool items starting next week.

Gran Turismo 7 February Update – PS5 and PS VR2 Games

James Billcliffe, Guides Editor – Gran Turismo 7

I was in the World Rally Championship last month and being as impressionable as a three year old I like cars now.

Gran Turismo 7 is the first non-Steam deck console game I’ve paid money for in over a year, so I’ll continue to get some racing action at my expense this weekend.

So far it’s a strange game. The presentation is bizarrely cute for a sport normally played as Xtr3me as possible; However, once you’ve finally fought your way through the slumberfest of early wimpy racing and lounge jazz, it’s a top-notch accessible sim with a wide variety of cars and tracks.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Third Trailer

Kelsey Raynor, Guides Writer – Resident Evil 4 Remake

The cat is out of the bag I played Resident Evil 4 Remake, and since I wrote a 5/5 review on it, I’m going to spend my weekend with New Game Plus. My plan is to put Leon’s knife through the wringer and see how far I can get with it and just grenades. Watch this space!

That being said, I unfortunately caught myself getting into the Valorant Champions Tour again what started things off recently. As a result, I booted Valorant back up for the first time in months and have been playing most days since. It’s that time again! As long as I can avoid buying cosmetics, it’s fine. It’s a shame that the new bundle only looks so appealing.

Diablo 4 intro in-game cinematic

Stephany Nunneley-Jackson, News Editor – Diablo 4 Beta

This weekend I plan to jump into them Diablo 4 Early Access Beta – when I come into play due to waiting times. Last night was a bit brutal. I waited about an hour to get in only to be kicked in for about 10 minutes which frustrated me to no end. However, it’s a beta version and we all know how it goes when everyone, their grandmother and the neighbor’s dog want a tester. Especially if the beta is a popular franchise or a highly anticipated title. Diablo 4 is both. So I’m not fooling Blizzard. I’ll get back in line when I check out for the day here. Hopefully I’ll get a taste before Sanctuary’s doors are thrown wide open for open beta next weekend.

Diablo 4 aside, I’m considering playing Walheim. I recently bought it through the Steam Spring Sale as I’ve wanted to try it out ever since it was released through Early Access. I like the nature of the game, I’m interested in the setting and I want to see what all the fuss is about.

I also play Pokemon Go, since today is Community Day, with Slowpoke. Things are a bit different today as Galarian Slowpoke evolves into Galarian Slowbro. Normally, in order to evolve the pet, you need to catch 30 Poison-type Pokémon with Galarian Slowpoke as your sidekick. But just for today, until 10 p.m. tonight, instead you must catch 30 Psychic-types while adventuring with Galarian Slowpoke. Wish me luck on catching as many psychics as I sit around the house waiting to jump into Diablo 4. I suppose I could leave the house at some point. Lets see what happens.

So that’s us this weekend. What about you? Are you jumping into the beta this weekend? If not, what are you playing instead?
