WeWork Series at Apple Adds America Ferrera to Cast

America Ferrera was cast in apple series “WeCrashed”, tells the story of the rise and fall of We work, Diversity have learned.
Ferrera joins previously announced members are Jared Leto, Anne Hathaway and Kyle Marvin. The series is based on the Wonder podcast of the same name. It has been described as following the greedy rise and inevitable demise of WeWork, one of the world’s most valuable startups, and the narcissists whose chaotic love has turned everything upside down. both come true.
Ferrera will play Elishia Kennedy, a brilliant young entrepreneur lured to join WeWork, whose life is turned upside down as a result.
On television, Ferrera is known for starring in the ABC series “Ugly Betty” and the NBC series “Superstore”. In terms of cinema, she has starred in such projects as “Real Women Have Curves”, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “How to Train Your Dragon”.
She is represented by CAA, B. Company and Peikoff Mahan.
Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello will co-write and executive produce “WeCrashed” in addition to being co-presenters. Eisenberg previously co-created Apple’s hit series “Little America,” on which he was also the host. Last year, Eisenberg announced that Eisenberg had signed a master agreement with the streamer. Both Leto and Hathaway will executive produce in addition to starring. John Requesta and Glenn Ficarra will direct “WeCrashed” in addition to executive producing. Charlie Gogolak and Natalie Sandy will also serve as executive producers alongside Emma Ludbrook through her production company Paradox and Leto. Apple Studios will produce, with Wondery executives producing.
