‘West Side Story’ Rachel Zegler is making a comeback to fame – Interview

What’s on your car playlist? “I love Glen Hansard. He’s a folk musician. I listen to a lot of Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. And perform tunes. ‘At the Ballet’ by A chorus – that’s the song that goes to, sings in my car…. ‘Dad always thought he was married below him.’ People who drive by me probably think I’m having a mental breakdown. “

When do you feel the most beautiful? “As soon as I remove my makeup.”

Most memorable haircut? “I grew up with that vintage Latina bowl my parents gave me, which I’ll never forgive them for. I look like Dora the Explorer.”

Favorite podcast? “My friend Kurtis Connor has a guy called Very really good. I love Kurtis’ podcast so much. I’m pretty sure he featured my Met gala look in his last podcast. Great criticism, man. “

Favorite Romeo and Juliet adapt? “I’m close to 2021 West story, but I really like Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. I saw Claire Danes at the Met Gala and I almost had a heart attack. It’s beautifully done, and it’s young Leo. More than you could ask for?”

Do you believe in love at first sight? “I have, but I also believe in the reality of it. You have to get to know them. Come on, María and Tony! Let’s go, guys.”

Best advice from Steven Spielberg? “He’s on my phone as ‘Creative Sponsor.’ I can call for advice whenever I need it.He gave me a lot of advice from the moment I got the role.

Beauty inspiration on the red carpet? “We all want to look like Selena. I trust the makeup artists. The person I like to work with is Nina Park. She knows my face very well.”
