A second ODI in Barbados was originally scheduled for Thursday, but was halted minutes before it began after a member of the West Indies staff tested positive for the coronavirus and forced all staff in isolation.

The game will now take place on Saturday, while the third and final ODI will take place on Monday, Cricket West Indies (CWI) said in a statement Friday night.

“It was a tough two days and we worked very quickly and safely, then implemented all the prescribed medical protocols to make sure all precautions were in place so we could move forward to continue the game,” said CWI President Ricky Skerritt. .

“We will continue to monitor the situation and respond accordingly.”

In a previous statement, CWI said all 152 people who tested for COVID-19 on Thursday night had negative results.

Australia won the first game of the three-game series on Tuesday and lost the previous T20I series 4-1 with five previous games.
