[Watch] REZ gets the funniest headshot of 2021 in CS:GO against ZywOo

There are rare occasions when ‘aimpunch’ can actually be useful in CS:GO, but letting it happen in a professional setting is also somewhat hilarious and ludicrous. For all the uninitiated, aimpunch is an in-game mechanical tool that when a player is hit in the head or unarmored body, their target will automatically pop up for a short time due to impact. It lasts for a very short period of time, maybe half a second, but makes it impossible for the player to aim properly.

Well in the final of IEM Winter 2021, Fredrik “REZ” Sterner was attacked but somehow things turned in his favor when he finally took out Mathieu. “ZywOo” Herbaut with the funniest header of the year.

REZ styles on ZywOo in the most ridiculous way possible

The IEM Winter 2021 final between Ninjas in Pajamas (NIP) and Team Vitality is a big deal for both teams. Although the French squad ran away with a clean ‘3-0’ score, it was REZ who scored maximum performance to take down ZywOo in the most impressive way possible.

In the second map that takes place on Dust 2, REZ is playing the ‘B-Site’ anchor alone when Vitality rushes in through ‘Tunnels’. He gets bombarded with gadgets and flares most of the time, but even in such a dire situation, he manages to hit ZywOo in the head.

It wasn’t due to anything he did, except of course ‘left-clicking’ his mouse when he was hit by a headshot through Kévin “misutaaa” Rabies. Although the aim was really bad, it somehow hit ZywOo who was in the middle of his jump.

Everything happened so fast that no one noticed in the live match, it was the French freestyle CS: GO player Carabon who bought this special moment to get everyone’s attention. Within hours, the clip went viral throughout the Counter-Strike community, as users expressed surprise at what could be the most ridiculous footage of 2021.
