WATCH: Fauci Says “It’s Too Early To Tell” If New Lockdown Is Coming

On Sunday, Dr Anthony Fauci appeared on ABC’s “This Week” and said the US should be “prepared to do anything and everything, including lockdowns, to combat” variations “New Omicron of the Chinese coronavirus.

“Should we expect to see more lockdowns, more lockdowns, more mandates?” asked George Stephanopoulos.

“I don’t know, George,” Fauci began. “It’s really too early to tell. We really need, as I say often, to prepare for the worst. Maybe we won’t have to go the way people say. We don’t know much about this virus. So we want to prepare as best we can, but maybe this preparation, while important, may not necessarily push us to the next level.”

“Everybody talks about the lockdown, everyone talks about it, let’s see what the information we get in real-time tells us,” Fauci continued.

“We will make decisions based on science and evidence the way we always do. But you want to be prepared to do anything and everything. That’s why we’re paying so much attention to this and why we’re paying attention to it.”

When Fauci says it’s “too early to say” if new lockdowns are imminent, it essentially means “yes, but we don’t have the courage to admit it yet”.
