Warning issued after black bear knocks angler over near Tofino

B.C. conservation officers are warning folks to keep away from a creek within the Tofino space, after a person was just lately knocked over by a black bear.

The B.C. Conservation Officer Service says the person was fishing in Kootowis Creek close to the intersection of Alaska Pines Street and Kennedy River Street round 2 p.m. on Friday, when the bear got here as much as him from behind.

“The bear made contact with the person, who was in a position to scare the animal away,” the service mentioned.

“Though the bear knocked the person over, he was not injured.”

Conservation officers had been deployed to the scene to research, and had been posting warning indicators and monitoring the world.
