Walmart Re-Offers PS5 and Xbox Series X Cyber Monday for Walmart + Members
Walmart confirmed plans to re-offer both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions on Cyber Monday to Walmart+ members.
Walmart already one of the biggest retailers when it comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X additions, with the company regularly listing and then selling out both next-gen consoles. Bots, scalers, and high demand have made it hard for people to buy PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles through Walmart, but things have gotten a little easier for members of the company. Walmart Subscription Program +, who were awarded for the first time on the company’s Black Friday dashboard stock and will reap rewards that will also arrive on Cyber Monday.
On Monday, November 29 at 9 a.m. PST, Walmart+ members will have the opportunity to purchase PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Both Disc and digital PS5 console will be available for purchase as well as the Xbox Series X. It is possible that the console will be made available to other Walmart Cyber Monday shoppers later in the day, but that has not been confirmed at the time of this writing. So anyone wanting a guaranteed PS5 or Xbox Series X purchase from Walmart on Cyber Monday should sign up for Walmart+ as soon as possible.
The Walmart+ program has other benefits beyond early access to special shopping events, so people who regularly shop from Walmart might want to consider registering it regardless. Walmart+ costs $98 per year or $12.95 per month for those interested. There’s also a free trial available, but it’s unclear if Cyber Monday deals are available to free trial users.
Walmart Cyber Monday PS5 and Xbox Series X Deals
Ultimately, it will be much easier for consumers to get their hands on the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, but it’s still unclear exactly when that might happen. As it is, lack of chips is expected to continue through 2022 and possibly into 2023 or even later. That combined with supply chain issues, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and a myriad of other issues can make PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles hard to find.
Who can wait to play PS5 and Xbox Series X Games may just want to wait until buying consoles from more convenient stores, but others can take advantage of things like Walmart+ to make it a little more affordable to buy consoles .
