Vin Diesel finally returns to the booth as Groot

Guardians of the Galaxy fans have a lot to look forward to in the years to come, with sequels, specials, and expected more coming to theaters and on Disney Plus, and now, the star behind Everyone’s favorite character Groot shared that things are moving again.
Vin Diesel, the voice of Groot, is back as an alien tree dialogue recorder for an unspecified project.
In a clip posted to Instagram, the actor shared that he was back at the booth with his longtime collaborator, sound engineer Doc Kane, and the pair were working to get Groot back again.
Kane and Diesel’s relationship dates back to years before the pair first worked together on the 1999 hit animated film. Iron giant in which Diesel voices the main character.
There’s no mistaking what the pair are up to today, though, as Diesel explains that they’re in the process of taping Groot. Sadly, no details have been shared about the exact project this audio will be used for.
Right now, there are many options for what it could be. With the return of director James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is currently in production for a 2023 release, but there’s also a holiday special being filmed concurrently and will air on Disney Plus during the holiday season.
Outside, I’m Groota short series starring the character, will join the Disney Plus roster later this year so it’s possible that dialogue will be recorded for that.
While fans will have to wait and see what happens during this taping, they can rest easy knowing that it won’t be long until Groot returns to our lives once more.
