Video shows Cincinnati firefighter sledgehammer through wall to free dog who was likely stuck for 5 days

CINCINNATI, Ohio – A Cincinnati firefighter used a bit of muscle to save a dog that had been missing for 5 days.

The fire department said that in response to a call, “the dog was stuck in a wall.”

When they arrived, they quickly realized that a dog had fallen into a crevice and was trapped between two concrete walls.

Gertie, the dog, is said to have been trapped there for the five days she was missing.

It wasn’t until the fifth day that her owners realized that she had fallen into a concrete crack.
