The world of Pokemon vast and attractive, attracting players for more than 25 years. It’s no surprise that gamers have found ways to switch Pokemon games for systems for which they were never designed. It’s a long tradition in some circles to find ways to play games like Doom on innovative new platforms, so Pokemon title in good company. A cheeky fan recently shared a video of the newly released movie Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls was played on – or rather in – the Ford Focus.
Ford Focus is one of the models with an interior display screen design. While it may seem like the Ford Focus wasn’t made for playing video games, it isn’t weirdest device gamers have figured out how to play games on.
Redditor BigRig_Pikachu shared a 16 second video introducing themselves play either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining pearls on Ford Focus. The video isn’t meant to brag too much because it’s highlighting a specific problem that can be encountered while playing Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls. Obviously, going into the tall grass on Road 203 can cause the screen to malfunction, but BigRig_Pikachu has found a way to restore it.
According to BigRig_Pikachu, the visual error can be corrected by holding the brake pedal and shifting the gear to reverse. However, this fix is said to only work on the 2014 Ford Focus, so enthusiasts venturing into another model may have to find their own solution. While the idea of playing Pokemon in a car sounds unlikely – and unnecessarily difficult – the screen appears to be roughly the size of a Nintendo Switch screen in handheld or desktop mode. This means players can easily find out winky track animation for Ekans.
Looks like other fans are more impressed by BigRig_Pikachu’s playability Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls on Ford Focus than them by troubleshooting solution. This is not the only one Malfunction found in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls, but it can be one of the most difficult that the casual player encounters. One user responded to this post by joking that Nintendo isn’t doing any work on the Ford Focus version of the game, while another said that BigRig_Pikachu should send their Ford Focus back to Nintendo for repair.
