Venom 2 has Spidey and Morbius nodding that you might have missed

Venom: Let There Be Carnage hit theaters a month ago and promises symbiote-on-symbiote action. Over the course of the short 90 minutes, we’ve seen the troubles in the relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom, along with the origins of the Holocaust. It wasn’t a groundbreaking cinema, but it did the job.

Now with its digital release today and slated for a home release in mid-December, Sony Pictures has released a short trailer outlining some incredibly cryptic Easter eggs we’ve all missed. A major plot element in the film are the barbaric drawings in Cletus Kasady’s cell, allowing Eddie to track down the bodies of his last victims.

However, upon closer inspection, they also reveal some big hints regarding Spider-Man and Morbius. Check it out:

In the top left corner we see an image of a spider web with “fearless and therefore strong [sic]”Written next to it. At the top right there is a bat labeled “Life’s real tragedy is when men are afraid of the light.” Both of these are cheerful nods to other Sony projects rather than have any major lore implications, but they’re great to see.

With Venom: Let There Be Carnage ending with The brain-hungry anti-hero is making his way to the MCU, we’ll soon see him entwined with Spidey (maybe even in There is no way home). Also, we don’t know which universe yet Morbius takes place in, though the fact that Michael Keaton plays a role might suggest that it’s a secret MCU movie.

All will be revealed in the next few months. During the measurement, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is closing in on theatrical release, will be available for purchase from December 14, and can be rented digitally from today. Venom 2 has Spidey and Morbius nodding that you might have missed
