Vanguard Season 1 Zombies Content Isn’t Enough

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies’ struggles were well documented, as fans were quick to share their frustrations with the mode as soon as the game was released. Abandoning the circular approach that fans have come to know and love for the past 10 years, Der Anfang boasts an objective-focused style that strips away much of what Zombies fans love. No little easter eggs to complete, no Wonder Weapon to use, and the overall process of each match is significantly different.

VIDEO GAME OF THE DAY

While many Zombies fans were quick to give up Call of Duty: Vanguard, going back to older games or custom maps on PC, some players hope that Season 1 will make some big changes to Der Anfang’s experience. Unfortunately, while there are some minor additions and quality of life changes to be seen, This Season is unlikely to satisfy any longtime fans who have been disappointed with the mode. Hopefully the other Seasons will deliver bigger changes, because if they’re all the same as Season 1, Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies will not have a chance to recover.

Supplement of Part 1 includes a new target type for Der Anfang called Purge. This mode will allow the player to face off against the aethereal worm, with the goal of collecting Control Runes while waves of undead continuously attack. The premise sounds very similar to Harvest, except that the player doesn’t need to send Runes to move Obelisks. If it really does sound like it, this kind of objectivity can hardly make Der Anfang feel any less repetitive.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies Covenant Altar will be expanded with some additional upgrades. One of these is a version of Deadshot Daiquiri, and another uses the Dead Wire Pack-A-Punch effect – two things that have been present in a few Zombies modes before on day one. Brimstone is another Covenant that deals damage to nearby enemies, while Scrapper provides more Salvage. Swift Vengeance is easily the most unique Covenant, as it provides extra damage on fast movement – making it useful with the Aetheral Haste perk. Other additions will see Launchers added to the mode as well as Seasonal Challenges offered.

As always with Call of DutyPart of the Season, there will be a mid-season “Reloaded” update that adds some extra content. In case Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies, this is where the more impactful Season updates will be found, such as Von List’s Office. While details about this exact content are rare, it looks like it will be a new location that players can visit while battling through Der Anfang. Intel is sure to be found in the office hype Der Anfang’s upcoming main quest, and if the objectives can be completed in the office area, it should add a bit of variety to the core game loop.

Tome of Rituals is another essential addition, as it provides upgrades to Artifacts. With the powerful level of Field Upgrade in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the same abilities feel extremely weak in Call of Duty: Vanguard as they cannot be upgraded. The Tome of Rituals will change that, though it’s unclear if players will upgrade them through a currencies like Aetherium Crystals or in each match through an upgrade station. Killstreaks and server pauses are also confirmed to be coming.

While these quality of life upgrades are welcome and very similar to those made to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WaThe burst mode of r As the Sections progress, they don’t fix the larger problems with the mode. Outbreak not only has a stronger foundation to build on, but it also comes with well-rounded content that fans love. By focusing entirely on expanding Der Anfang, Treyarch has yet to give the community what it wants.

What future parts of Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies need to focus on

No mistakes, Der Anfang needs work to become a better Zombies experience. More goals and areas is a good start, but it will also need to see some proper secondary content and added easter eggs. Outbreak constantly gets things like radio side quests, boss Orda fights, and Omega helicopters to shoot down. Similarly, optional objectives will come to Der Anfang, giving players the ability to do something between the main objectives other than breaking the same crystals and opening the same chests.

Furthermore, the proper side quests need to come to Der Anfang. While the final main quest is obviously a necessity, the best Zombies maps always have more to do than the main quest. Treyarch might start off small with a hidden song, as fans are sure to enjoy listening to another Zombies original soundtrack. From there, small quests that provide free upgrades can help bring back your soul Call of Duty Zombies, with the mode’s identity slowly returned. A Magic Weapon is also a necessity, even if it only means throwing Ray Gun into the Mystery Box. After all, Zombies fans should be excited to try their luck, hoping that each spin will land them a Magic Weapon. Currently, that feeling is non-existent.

However, while a greater focus on side quests and adding the Wonder Weapon would help Der Anfang, Treyarch needs to add some round-the-clock content to the game as soon as possible. Obviously, the new Survival maps take a long time to develop, so it could be several Seasons before one is added. However, in the meantime, Treyarch can finally activate Zombies Chronicles 2. Adding TranZit, Die Rise and Buried will instantly make fans invest in Zombies again, even as maps are added Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to replace. There’s Chronicles content that can keep fans busy until Call of Duty: Vanguard is in a better shape with its own ring-based services.

Even the proper implementation Shi No Numa remake available will go a long way to satisfying longtime fans. Treyarch has brought back most of the assets needed for the map in Der Anfang, as players battle through the entire main hut whenever they teleport to the area. Although the map is small and dated by today’s standards, adding it would serve as an aid to enabling recovery mode. Multiplayer will no doubt be satisfied fighting through the Japanese swamp while Treyarch works on a new circular experience and systems like Pack-A-Punch can be added to modernize Shi No Numa a bit. little. In fact, Treyarch is running out of time to save Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies and Season 1 are so lackluster that it’s disturbing. Hopefully some circle fan content will arrive sooner rather than later.
