Some fans on Reddit wanted Sledgehammer Games to add the War game mode from Call of Duty: WW2 to Call of Duty: Vanguard this year.
Sledgehammer Games released Call of Duty: Vanguard in early November, is considered the 18th installment in this long-running series. While the developer has been supporting Infinity Ward and Treyarch lately released in Call of Duty Franchising, this will be the first major game released by Sledgehammer since WW2 in 2017.
While the important reception of Call of Duty: WW2 not much different from Vanguard, some fans were excited to see the series go back to the Second World War era. WW2 also debuted with a new game mode called War Mode, in which 2 teams of 6 players play the role of Allied or Axis forces. It’s an objective-based game mode that includes battles inspired by Iconic moments from World War II. Although War Mode is not part of any Call of Duty game since then, it seems some fans want it back Vanguard in some form.
A poster on Call of Duty: Vanguard subReddit mentions that War Mode is a great addition to WW2, and they’re desperate for it to come back. The comment section has many people repeating this statement, with one saying that War is the only good thing about Call of Duty: WW2. As per a comment, the implementation of War Mode takes a lot of work, that’s probably why it wasn’t introduced in any Call of Duty game since then. Some other fans want the development team to even drop the Zombies game mode in favor of fresh and new ideas.
Looks like War Mode isn’t the only thing that fans want to see reintroduced, as they also want Vote map to be added Vanguard. Being able to vote on the next map is a feature of Call of Duty multiplayer for many years, but surprisingly it’s absent in 2019 Modern War. However, last year Black Ops’ Cold War saw the return of map voting and now the feature is absent again Vanguard. As expected, fans are extremely bewildered by this fluctuating series of events.
Anyone looking to buy Vanguard can take advantage of the ongoing Black Friday sale. Subject to availability, Call of Duty: Vanguard can be purchased for as low as $39.99 at some retailers. Even if the game is currently out of stock, fans can look forward to grabbing it Vanguard in any other sales from this holiday season.
Call of Duty: Vanguard currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
Halo Infinite has a lot of weapons in it, some new, some old, but a tiered list will help new players figure out what to get and what to drop.
